Melissa Denys is the owner and principal designer of Melissa Denys Interiors, a full-service residential design studio based in the suburbs of Chicago. She established her creative foundation in New York, working for luxury fashion houses including Oscar de la Renta, Christian Louboutin, and Adam Lippes, before turning to interiors. She went on to earn a master's degree in interior design and spent years gaining experience working for high-end residential firms before launching her own studio in 2018.
That path, from the precision of luxury fashion to the rigor of formal design training, shapes everything about how she works. Melissa leads every project herself, from initial concept through final installation, bringing a trained eye for proportion, material, and finish to spaces that are architecture-forward, deliberately considered, and built to live in. She works with her clients to create interiors that feel personal without being precious, refined without being formal, and designed to look even better with time.
Large-scale design projects require a clear vision and steady direction. Melissa works alongside your architect, builder, and trades from the beginning, helping shape the decisions that affect how the home will look, feel, and function. As the project moves from construction details into furnishings and final installation, she carries the same point of view through each layer of the home so every decision comes together thoughtfully and cohesively.
